Exchange students enrolled in regular courses (like erasmus students) get the full range of services as students. It includes a UNICAN Account (username/password) and a student’s mailbox. You can also access your academic record in the student’s portal: Campus Virtual.
As an exchange student you must get your account and regularly consult your UNICAN mailbox.
IMPORTANT: Short term visiting faculty, staff and students (such Language Center summer students), are not eligible for a regular UNICAN Account, but they can get other services such Wifi.
How to get your UNICAN Account
You can get your UNICAN account with you university’s student card (TUI) from any Computer Room (they are all equipped with smart card readers).
Access Campus Virtual from a web browser and choose the “Servicios con la TUI” option. Select “Obtener tu Usuario y Clave UC” and insert your student’s card in the smart card reader.
You should get your student's card (TUI) at the beginning of the term. If you don’t have it, please consult the International Relations Office.

Access the UNICAN-i Wifi Network

Remember that with your UNICAN Account you must access the Wifi Network as any regular UNICAN student.
Access to Computer Rooms
We have over 1200 PCs for students in our public computer rooms (Salas de Informática). There's at least one computer room on every building for you to use. Every computer is equipped with smart card readers and you must identify yourself with your university’s student card (TUI).
Using your UNICAN account you can book a computer in advanced through our website. You can get more information and access to the reservation website here (only available in spanish)
Other Services
With your UNICAN account you have access to other services such web publishing, online personal folder for your documents (a.k.a. Network Disk), the student's portal Campus Virtual, free software, ..
