Enrolment
To enrol in a course, you must send us:
 1 passport/I.D. size photograph A photocopy of the passport or identity card
A cheque or proof of payment (the bank paying-in slip) of the enrolment fee, made out to the University of Cantabria. Payment should be made into account number IBAN-ES55-0049.5400.41.2811024156 of the bank Santander Central Hispano, Swift Code: BSCHESMM, Paseo de Pereda 11, Santander, payable to UC-CIUC Cursos de Español para Extranjeros.

Summer courses (July and August): 30 days prior to start of course
Other courses: 7 days prior to start of course
Reimbursement
Those students who should wish to cancel their place on a course will be entitled to the reimbursement of the full amount paid excepting:
93 € if cancellation takes place at least 30 days prior to the course starting (93 € in the intensive courses during the academic year 11/12 and 96 € during the academic year 12/13)
125 € (105 € in September and in the academic year 11/12 and 108 € in the academic year 12/13) if the cancellation takes place between 8 and 30 days prior to the course starting.
After this date, a minimum of 230 € (155 € in September and in the academic year 11/12 and 160 € in the academic year 12/13) will be retained by the Language Centre.
Any student who withdraws from a course that is already in progress should send an explanatory letter of request for reimbursement to the Head of Courses indicating why (s)he is leaving. The amount to be reimbursed will depend both on how long the course has been running and on the reasons for leaving.
Certificates
All students who attend a minimum of 80% of course classes will be entitled to an attendance certificate.
At the end of each course those students who are interested may take a sufficiency test which, if passed, will entitle them to a certificate of progress, on which the grades obtained will appear.
Other information
All students must have valid health insurance coverage. Those European Union citizens holding European health card are entitled to medical assistance offered by the Spanish National Health Service (Insalud).
The minimum age limit to enrol in the courses is 16. Those students who have not yet come of age must submit a required parental or tutor's authorisation along with the enrolment form.
